Holyfield & Thomas - Firm History

In recognition of the need for a full service local accounting firm comprised of professionals with national firm backgrounds who sought the ability to give personalized service to clients, James R. (Jim) Holyfield founded the firm as Holyfield & Company in 1982. The firm quickly became and has remained the attractive alternative to regional offices of national CPA firms in the South Florida area.  

Throughout the years, the firm has continually adapted to the ever-changing environment of accounting, business, and the economy. The firm has also had a few name changes during its over three decade history, including Holyfield, Elliott & DeHon, P.A. and Holyfield Associates, P.A. The firm became Holyfield & Thomas, LLC in 2001 when David J. Thomas became partner.

The firm and its leadership have held steadfast to the values, ideals, and principles of its founder and mission. It is because of Jim’s initial vision and along with David’s passion to expand the reach of the Holyfield & Thomas brand that for over 30 years the firm is known for its dedication to personalized service and commitment to professional excellence.
